ASTER Global Digital Elevation Map

So a project required high-resolution shaded relief for parts of Borneo, so I thought I would check out the ASTER Global Digital Elevation Map, which is a 30m digital elevation model (for use in GIS software). Will see if I get to it, the NASA Echo/Reverb login system seems to be down, and I don't seem to be able to log in to the Japanese download site.

Note for anyone trying to use this - the Japanese site linked from the above announcement doesn't have any download site, the service is located here: ASTER GSD IMS (operated by ERSDAC).

Updated: seems like there was a download site here as well, and I managed to log in to that one: http://gdem.ersdac.jspacesystems.or.jp/search.jsp
