Windpower in Sweden

A friend mentioned some interesting wind energy/wind power statistics, and sent me a link. Having an interest in sustainable development and renewable energy (e.g. green energy) - I could not resist in preparing a little chart with these figures. The data, from the Vindstat.nu website, lists output from major wind farms and wind generators in Sweden - and their energy production and electricity generation. The excel sheet I downloaded contained monthly stats from 2002 until last month (September 2012) and data per wind turbine and wind farm.

I worked with the data in Excel, before using Grapher to set up the chart, and then it was finalized in Illustrator.

I hope I got the units right!

En vän till mig skickade en intressant länk till en sajt med statistik över vindenergi/vindkraft. Eftersom jag är intresserad i hållbar utveckling och miljöfrågor (som t.ex. grön el och grön energi) så kunde jag inte mostå att sammanställa datat i ett diagram. Siffrorna - från Vindstat.nu, listar information för större vindkraftverk och turbiner i Sverige - bland annat energiproduktion (elproduktion) och effekt. Excelbladet som jag laddade ner hade månatlig statistik från 2002 tills förra månaden (September 2012) och data för varje vindkraftverk.

Jag behandlade datat i Excel, exporterade det sedan till Grapher för att slutföra illustrationen i Illustrator.
