UN report for COP15 - graphics and layout by Nordpil

Catalysing change - the UNECE response to the climate countdown, example graphicsThe member states of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) are some of the main polluters of greenhouse gases, with the EU, USA and Canada among others. The report Catalysing change - the UNECE response to the climate countdown, prepared for the COP15 climate conference in December 2009 summaries the activities among the UNECE members to mitigate and act on climate change. The UNECE counts 56 countries as members in Europe, North America, Central Asia, Caucasus and the Middle East.

The report, prepared with the UNECE secretariat and Zoï Environment, required feedback and dialog with the authors for the graphics production and text editing. The graphics were partly based on previous work by UNEP/GRID-Arendal, in the form of the Climate in Peril summary report, other illustrations were prepared as originals by Nordpil.

The report features several charts and maps on climate change issues that required extensive data collection and preparation for the presentation.

All layout work was performed by Nordpil, including photo acquisition and editing. The report was edited by the authors and the finalization required a dialog with the UNECE secretariat.

Sample illustrations from the report are available in the portfolio section (see below), and the full report can be downloaded from the UNECE.
