Nordpil offers freelance consultancy services in custom map design and cartography, in illustrations (charts, diagrams and other graphics) and in geographic information systems (GIS) including research and data preparation. Map design includes interactive maps (WMS, ArcIMS) and thematic maps. In addition we provide training in better visual communication and map-making.

New web server

The Nordpil website has just been moved to a new dedicated server.

The site was previously running on a decomissioned old workstation, and for a while on a primary workstation.

Currently, the site is running on a HP Proliant ML310E GEN8 small-business server, which has been quite smooth (with a few small kinks) since the deployment.

The server is running Ubuntu Server and the same software as previously:

Apache Httpd
Apache Tomcat
Railo, previously OpenBluedragon
Mura CMS

Update - the application server has now been shifted from previously OpenBluedragon to now run Railo.
