Arctic Biodiversity Trends 2010 – maps and charts

Arctic Biodiversity Trends 2010The Arctic Biodiversity Assessment is an in-depth scientific activity under the Arctic Council, coordinated by the Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna (CAFF) work program. As an overview under this assessment, the report Arctic Biodiversity Trends 2010: Selected indicators of change presents a snapshot of the state of the Arctic for biodiversity, conservation and ecology.

The report concludes that the Arctic is threatened by development, climate change and pollution and that more research and monitoring is needed to assess the full scale of the changes over the coming decades.

Nordpil prepared all the maps, diagrams, and charts for this report and acted as graphic advisor in the editorial team, which was headed by UNEP/GRID-Arendal with support from the CAFF Secretariat.

Two maps from the report have been posted in the portfolio section of this website. Graphics are also available from the main report website, as well as from the UNEP/GRID-Arendal maps and graphics library.
