Health maps for North Shore, Massachusetts

North Shore health maps

North Shore Community Health Network – Health Status MapsNordpil assisted the North Shore Community Health Network in Massachusetts by preparing GIS data for a set of interactive maps. The maps, prepared using the OIC Weave platform, present health indicators for the 18 communities in the northern Massachusetts network.

Open Indicators Weave is an Adobe Flash-based application platform for presenting, visualizing and exploring indicators and datasets. The platform was developed by the University of Massachusetts and others.
The North Shore Community Health Network is a network of health and social services providers in 18 communities in northeast Massachusetts: Beverly, Danvers, Essex, Gloucester, Hamilton, Ipswich, Manchester, Lynn, Lynfield, Marblehead, Nahant, Peabody, Rockport, Salem, Saugus, Swapscott, Topsfield, and Wenham.
The interactive map displays demographic indicators, cancer statistics, and rates of substance abuse, injuries and chronic diseases.
